Recommendations for the re-opening of dental services: a rapid review of international sources
The COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on our daily lives is rapidly evolving. Now, attention is focused on planning the re-opening and restructuring of dental services.
The Cochrane Oral Health group shared: Recommendations for the re-opening of dental services: a rapid review of international sources. This Rapid review lead by Professors Jan Clarkson and Craig Ramsay, reports national recommendations from 16 countries. Some of the key messages from the review, it’s most resources recommended patinate triage starting by telephone and temperature screening, from filtering facepiece class2 (FFP2, equivalent toN95)masks for non-COVID-19 cases undergoing AGP’s and all suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases undergoing any procedure to also consider the inter-relationship between the appropriate use of PPE.
This review will help dentists to navigate different guidance documents in Practice preparation, management of the clinical room, dental procedures and Post-Operative cleaning/disinfection/ waste management.
